Pasig Rain Forest Park
by bhongong on Nov.12, 2007, under Metro Manila, Places
Have you seen a Rain Forest inside Metro Manila? With wild animals, birds and butterflies except tarzan and jane? If not, you missed one of the nicest place in metro manila.
If you are like me who prefers nature trip, a walk along nature singing along with the birds, swinging from tree to tree with the monkeys, running along deers and play with ostrich, swim with the fish, turtles, ducks and crocodiles.. and… and…
Well, seriously. There is a place in Pasig City about less than 6 kilometers from Makati and Ortigas called Rain Forest Park. The park have a water theme park, mini zoo with various animals like deers, ostrich, monkey, snakes, crocodiles, birds and others except for huge mammals, parks for senior citizens, children’s playground, Japanese garden, a butterfly sanctuary with scheduled viewing daily, a mini-train that tours the park, a Gym and more…
The entrance fee to the park and zoo is FREE. Only the water theme park have entrance fee. P60 (less than $2) for Pasig Residents (Great! Just bring any ID with Pasig Address on it) and P100 ($2) for non-pasig residents. The Pool is clean and nice. There is a lap pool and a big pool with huge slide area (the big slide is not functional) and a safe kiddy wadding pool with huge dinosaur statues and water slides that the children will surely enjoy. The cottages are also clean and spacious with barbecue grill areas. Pretty decent compared to other private resorts in Metro Manila.

How to get there?
Recently, I have been receiving phone and mobile calls in the office asking about the location of Rain Forest and how to get there. We are not connected with Rain Forest Park whatsoever. I gave the callers instructions, etc. I asked them where did they get our number and told me that they are searching the internet for Rain Forest Park Website but found none. However, they found our company website PHSITE.COM eSolutions at www.phsite.com where they found our number because our address says, “In front of Rain Forest Park”, thus they tried to call us because maybe we can help them for the location since we are just in-front of the Park. (Pasig City should give us more discount in the pool. Hehehe Just kidding)
If you are reading this and might be interested to go to the park, follow these instructions:
For those who are commuting:
From SM Megamall. In front of the SM Supermarket along EDSA, there is a FX Terminal and get on one heading for Angono. The fare is about P35. You will be getting off just in front of our office (phsite.com hehehe) and in front… Rain Forest Park.
From EDSA Ortigas (Robinsons Galleria). Along EDSA, Walk towards SM Megamall.. Hehe. Just kidding, it’s a long walk to SM Megamall. Seriously. Take a Bus heading for Antipolo/Taytay. Get off at Rosario and take a Jeep heading Pasig-Rosario. Along Sixto Avenue, get off at Saint Maries and take the tricycle to Rain Forest Park.
From Ortigas-Rosario. See above.
For those who have own vehichle
From Makati. Take C5 heading for Libis. When you reached SM Hypermarket, take the first right turn on Eagle St. until you reach Sixto Ave. At Sixto Ave., Turn right and until you reach, Saint Mary’s St., turn left. When you reached C. Raymundo St., turn left and a few meters turn right at F. Legaspi St. – Rain Forest Park is just a kilometer away or less on the right.
From Marikina/Marcos Highway. Take Manggahan until you reach East River Bank. Turn left and drive along East River Bank along Pasig River, passing under the Ortigas-Rosario Bridge. When you reached F. Legaspi turn right and drive along the bridge at the end Rain Forest Park is at the left.

From tondo, if you are commuting. You can take jeep to Recto and get off just past Isetann or anywhere in the university Belt where the G-Liner Bus is passing by. Take the G-Liner Bus heading for Cainta and tell them you are heading for Pasig-Rosario. You can ask around for Tricycle that could take you to Pasig Rain Forest. Usually those line under the bridge. My post is over a year ago, I don’t know what Typhoon Ondoy did to the park.
